Homburg (Imperfection Remix)

from Imperfect Patterns by NCN

/

about

This is a redux of the Procul Harem song 'Homburg' more information about this song can be found here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homburg_%28song%29

Here we inject samples from Star Trek namely Spock mindmelding with the robot Nomad from the episode 'The Changeling'.

The overall effect is based on and is reminiscent of treatments that this song has had on Negativland's radio show 'Over the Edge' more information about 'Over the Edge' can be found here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over_the_Edge_%28radio%29

the narrative of the song has to do with the singer finding various things 'wrong' or 'imperfect'. The two tones, between the song and the samples of Spock are almost diametrically opposed. But we found the effect to be interesting and intriguing.
