about

This first part of the two-part program couplet covers forces and events before and directly leading up to the January 6th, 2021 insurrection which was the Capitol Hill riots, instigated at the time by then-President Donald J. Trump in Washington D.C.

In contrast to the upcoming sequel to this prooject: 'The Insurrection (January 6th, 2021)' is very heavy on the 'LULz' that is, it is very HUMOROUS and psychedelically represents, through the meticulous editing and mixing of countless disparate media clips (work which took place over the course of more than an entire year) for the purpose of putting the January 6th, 2021 insurrection event into context.

These events include the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election, and (then) President Donald J. Trump's denial of the results of that election, a denial that will no doubt continue until the moment of his death.

It also covers Trump's (probably illegal) call to the Secretary of State of Georgia whom he pressured to overturn the Georgia election results for him, an action for which he is under grand jury investigation at the time of this writing. It also covers aspects of the Republican loss of Senate seats in Georgia shortly before the January insurrection event, and many various embarrassing failures and publicly humiliations suffered by Trump during the latter year of his presidency.

The humor potential for these failures is very high since Trump classicly and publicly has touted himself as somebody who 'always wins', something that NO HUMAN EVER has EVER EVER EVER been able to do in the WHOLE AND COMPLETE HISTORY of the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE.

Note--many of the source material files are lossless files so we recommend downloading this program in a losless format such as .flac or .wav to preserve sound fidelity.

FURTHER DETAILS:

The overall program, which this first half about Jan6 is from is, in part, a work of art. Much creativity has been applied to the process of putting this together, as you will no doubt soon be able to tell while listening to it, but it is also a work of journalism and research. It seeks to not just be an expression of what I, and others, FEEL about this matter, but a straight-up DOCUMENTATION of the subject matter that we hope will endure the test of time.

Who knows, perhaps in future generations, in schools 50 years from now (if there are schools) it will be pegged as 'Required Listening' in University Political History courses.

Side B of this program (the upcoming 'The Insurrection (January 6th, 2021) is FAR DARKER than Side A (This Program) and gets very MUSICAL in places as we MASH-UP the insurrection ITSELF with the music of PINK FLOYD (think 'THE WALL', fourth side of the album) and NINE INCH NAILS (notably, the 1990's song 'BURN' which almost seems to be ABOUT January 6th, presciently) as well as THE CLASH and music by Hans Zimmer from the iconic film soundtrack for The Dark Knight.

It also talks a lot about revelations about the event that have been made clear and public since then, such as Fox News anchors, and Trump's son himself, recently being discovered to have sent numerous, frantic text messages during the attack pleading with Trump to make it stop, and the direct complicity in the planning by such congresspeople as Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Also revealed is how that as far as Trump's efforts to overturn the election were concerned, the events of January 6th, as extreme as they were, were just the tip of the iceberg.

An iceberg that, behind the scenes, we will show, brought the country, obliviously, to the brink of nuclear annihilation.

A listener advisory here. We have tried to provide SOME comic relief (where appropriate) in this thing, but listening to this program, especially in one sitting, can be very emotionally affecting.

The riot sequences in Side B particular have the effect of putting the listener, in a sonic, virtual sense, right in the middle of that violent and rageful mob so, be warned: some of this audio may be disturbing and triggering.

WHAT NCN DOES AND WHY:

Our unique programs explore universal subjects and themes as seen through our own individual and subjective 'lens'. The best of both worlds!

Through a creative, artistic process of 'Collect/Select/Connect/Present', NCN collates a broad variety of many thematically relevant media clips, presenting our own editorial social commentary as well as cultural artifacts from the underground DIY remix media culture, synthesizing these elements into psychedelic stream-of-consciousness audio journeys.

We seek to help listeners better understand and make sense of issues covered in the media DIN that we are all subjected to and also to hopefully make them aware of certain music and other worthwhile artists that they would otherwise never be aware of or come across.
