Talking in Your Sleep is by The Romantics. American Pie Remix is by Global Deejays originally by Don McLean. Alice in Chains originally did 'No Excuses'. 'The future, there's no such thing' was by Bill Hicks. Bittersweet Symphony is by The Verve. Aldous Huxley also appears. NIN samples are from 'Happiness in Slavery' as well as 'Sin' a cover of NIN by Vitamin String Quartet. Dan Crall plays the accordion with his dog. Beastie Boy vocal track from 3 the Hard Way (song). 'The Day My Fingers Fell Off' is a poem written by Phineas Narco. Richard Burton samples are from the movie, Equus. Phineas Narco sings 'No Excuses'.
