Deep Entanglements

This track is over 10 minutes long and is about attitudes toward drugs, particularly those of Trent Reznor and Frank Zappa.

We hear a remixed version of 'Entangled' by Genesis, from their album 'Trick of the Tail'. A delay has been added to the original version of the song as well as a sample of Ray Taliaferro laughing. We also hear a clip from Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) talking about the human struggle, Frank Zappa in an interview, talking about drugs (including one from 1971) and his disgust for them, and drug 'fashions'. Over this clip, we hear Nine Inch Nail's song 'Perfect Drug' and then their song, 'Deep' from the soundtrack to 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider'. Reznor talks about his struggle with addiction and there is also a clip from the Alan Thicke Show 'Thicke of the Night' with Frank Zappa talking about the news. Reznor starts to talk about his development of 'Year Zero'. Over this, we hear the bridge to the song 'With Teeth', the title track of the album before 'Year Zero'.

This all ends, abruptly.
