about

Various samples are heard played over each other. 'The Professor' plays guitar and speaks via the phone. Sofa #1 is played over this as well as bits of 'We Are the Mother People' and the 'people inside the piano' from Civilization Phaze III are heard. More with Frank and Mike Nesmith from the Monkees' show appearance. Clips from a Zappa interview talking about the early days is heard in the background. A conversational composition develops with Professor's guitar in the background. We hear a bit of 'Anyway the Wind Blows'. Frank talks about listening to the jukebox at Opal and Chester's chili place, as a kid. 'We are the Mother People' is heard between samples of this and interview clips of the Zappa expert amidst effects. Steve Allen again and more calls. Part of 'Stuff Up the Cracks' is heard and segues into '3 Hours Past Midnight' by Johnny Guitar Watson who was a major influence on Zappa's later guitar style. Part of Tengo Na Minchia Tanta from 'Uncle Meat' is heard. Zappa talks about 'noodling'.
