Part 1 of 5 - We hear the Over the Edge theme, and Don (Joyce) introduces the band. Interview clips with Richard Hoagland on Art Bell's show in which he speculates on a coverup by NASA regarding the loss of the Mars Observor. Negativland plays music in the background. Callers call in, including Phineas Narco who talks about another show coming up at the time. A caller plays a clip from the Rush Limbaugh show, and a sample intones the name of the show repeatedly. Don interviews The Weatherman (David Wills) about the weather on Mars. Phineas Narco calls back and asks The Weatherman a cleaning question and talks with members of the band. More callers call in including The Professor (who's voice is run through a synthesizer). More sample-jamming, and the booper can occasionally be heard. The mix gets noisy.
