Party in my Mind - Part 6

from Party in my Mind by NCN

/

about

A continuation from Part 5. More from the party within; Phineas' various selves talk amongst themselves with jazz music in the background. Phineas can be heard in the mix reciting the 'Fear is the Mind Killer' piece from Frank Herbert's 'Dune'. We hear 'Mother of Violence' by Peter Gabriel and Phineas talk-sings and eventually sing-sings along with this song. An unrelated saxophone solo takes over and we hear a showcased version of the scene from the Adrian Lyne film 'Jacob's Ladder' (1990) that we heard in Part 5 with Tim Robbins and Danny Aiello (possible spoiler). Great movie. Background music and unrelated percussion is added. The track ends darkly with a sample from The Empire Strikes Back (1980).
