'MetaMix' is a term I coined. It literally means 'a mix of mixes'. A MetaMix is created from the splicing and/or mixing of portions of other pre-existing mixes, usually all or most related to some unifying theme, subject or idea.

This MetaMix is a companion piece to the NCN piece 'The Psychedelic PIGS Show' which is available on Bandcamp here:

You do not need to pay anything to stream or download any of these programs or pieces which is the case for all audio work by NCN.

This MetaMix (as you may have guessed) is about sheep and the appearance of the subject in our culture. It was chiefly inspired by the song 'Sheep' originally done by the progressive psychedelic 70's rock band Pink Floyd for their 1977 album, 'Animals' and was/is/shall be part of an even larger work which was a webcast show marathon that The National Cynical Network (NCN) did on January 21st, 2024 which was the 47th anniversary of the release of the original Pink Floyd 'Animals' album. The webcast show (still under production in its entirety at the date of THIS album's publishing) was called 'The Pink Floyd 'Animals' 47th Anniversary Remix Marathon' and was streamed for 12 hours.

NCN may do a further MetaMix in this series about 'Dogs' which is the other animal that is addressed or 'treated' in the original Pink Floyd 'Animals' work.

The overall titular mix is presented here in two parts: Side A and Side B. It includes the mix, which is the third track/mix of this album/download package. The third track in the album is 'The Ultimate Self-Aware Pink Floyd 'Sheep' MetaMix' and is a part of, but split between, tracks 1 & 2 collectively, effectively bookending that Side A/B double-set. Note: the featured track that the webplayer on the page for this album is default set to is this track even though it is track 3 in the album's playlist. More clips having to do with sheep are heard in the interim between these two bookends between Side A and Side B. I will fill in the accreditation and source information for this material in due time. 'The Psychedelic SHEEP MetaMix' was adapted from an earlier NCN show called 'Counting Sheep (and Pigs)' which was created 9 years prior to the publishing date of 'The Psychedelic SHEEP MetaMix' and contains portions of that show. Some of these portions have been remastered with higher quality source files than 'Counting Sheep (and Pigs)' including remastered and/or lossless versions of the source files.
