(Mostly) Dead Presidents

from Death, Taxes and Empathy (Part 1) by NCN

/

about

A couple of songs that we discovered shortly after news broke of President Trump's early October 2020 infection with covid-19. The first is a cover of They Might Be Giant's song 'When Will You Die?' done A Cappella by Meri Amber which is a song which seems to be specifically written about Trump but was actually done many, many years before his reign (the TMBG version that is) and is only about people like him. Curiously, this cover specifically mentions (and the video shows) the 'mushroom' character from Marioworld videogame which Trump's litigious ex-sex partner Stormy Danniels compared his penis to. Coulton's 2005 song 'The Presidents' boils each President up to that time's legacy down to one line of song. We wonder what lines he would write about Obama and Trump. Perhaps he has done an updated version.
