Outside the Narrative 2

from The 1984 Remix Project by NCN

/

about

This is the first track for the third disk, of three, which this will fit on, tracked.

A piece by The Eurythmics ('Winston's Diary') is heard in the background. In the foreground we hear Jeff Monson from the youtube video 'US a police state, George Orwell's 1984 happening before us' talking about Obama, broken promises, domestic surveillance, drones, and other aspects of 1984 in the modern or post-modern era coming true. We hear a response to this video from another video from 7BILLIONHUMANBEING on youtube. This is weaved with the original video it comments on. Jeff Monson also talks about The Occupation movement.

The RT interview with Jeff Monson is here:

The Eurythmic song ends and we hear excerpts from the youtube video 'George Orwell's 1984 - What it is really about' which is by theantisauronist. We then hear part of a school (college) lecture on 1984 describing where we are in the narrative.

The Eurythmics' musical piece, 'The Ministry of Love' (where Winston and Julia are headed, the last we saw them in the narrative) is heard over a rant by Alex Jones about domestic surveillance. Jones' voice is gradually sped up for comic effect even though the music in the background is kept at a normal rate.
