about

Over the Nine Inch Nails song 'The Big Comedown', we hear Phineas Narco asks the Doktors of the Air to tell him about the sixties.

The song continues in the background and we hear Frank Zappa talking about the sixties and how and why the music industry was more accommodating to experimental works as opposed to the MTV-oriented industry in the 1980's and 90's.

There are a couple movie samples at this point, and we hear Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails, the same person who is singing the song in the background) talking about how NIN outlived the hype of their MTV-borne fame.

Some sound effects have been added to the song. Particularly in the phrase 'smash it apart'.
